Rowlands Pharmacy is announcing today that in response to the immense pressures resulting from the outbreak of COVID-19 its pharmacies in England, Scotland & Wales will now open to the public at 1000. This will provide more time for exceptionally busy pharmacy team members to prepare prescriptions.
Our pharmacies will also close at lunchtime for one hour to provide our busy colleagues with some respite.
We do not intend at this stage to close the pharmacies early, but we will keep the situation under review as circumstances change.
Posters are being placed in our pharmacies to inform customers. We hope that customers will understand why during these unprecedented times such measures are necessary.
We have no plans as yet to introduce timed slots for particular groups such as the elderly, although again we will keep that under review.
We have also introduced measures to maintain the recommended two meter social distancing rule including floor markings and signage.
We are maintaining a home delivery service to vulnerable patients who do not have family, friends, neighbours or voluntary groups which can pick up their prescription for them.
We are asking people not to call branches asking for home deliveries because they are self-isolating and instead to seek the support set out above.
