Alliance Healthcare was recently contacted by the NHS to support community pharmacy and the delivery of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to 1,258 pharmacies throughout Scotland during the current COVID-19 crisis.
On Friday 27 March 2020, Alliance Healthcare Service Centre in Coatbridge, Scotland, received nine pallets of the stock that included: a roll of aprons and a box of gloves per pharmacy, and started to distribute these to pharmacies across Scotland from Monday 30 March 2020.
Speaking of the support, Lynn McWhinnie, Service Centre Manager – Coatbridge said: “Our team has worked tirelessly to complete all deliveries on Tuesday 1 April and I have never been so proud of my team; rising to the challenge to support our community pharmacies during such challenging times.”
